Deputy: Shift Schedule Maker Examine App

1. Every 15 minutes I get a notification saying “Please review your timesheets for the period of -date-. I clicked on it trying to find a way to stop them. Nothing for my end.

All of a sudden it won’t let you put photos from your photo album into your chat!?

Deputy’s Zapier integration stopped working a week ago, and all of my company’s timesheet workflows are no longer functioning. There has been zero explanation or timeline for when this is going to be fixed. There is no live tech support and it has been 4 days since I received an update. This is costing our business many hours each day as we have to manually execute tasks we had relied on Deputy to trigger, and which they still advertise as functional integration options. I expected much more from a company of this size and we are now looking into alternative providers like Connecteam.

Automatic breaks shouldn’t be a feature. If you carelessly click through BOOM an hour gone. Forget to clock out? BOOM taken out of your timesheet even if you never took it. The amount of times I’ve had to email for my timesheet to be corrected should be zero. It’s deceptive what they do because they hide that a break was taken but if you go to look inside they take it out of the timesheet anyways!! I only noticed because the total time did not match. At the very least employees should be able to toggle off auto breaks.

Why do I have to be on-site to clock out. That defeats the entire point of having the app on my phone

We use Deputy to schedule many employees at various locations! Would it be possible to add the “multiple location” option to the schedule in the app, same as is possible on the web version on the computer?

Worked well, helped greatly with keeping track of my shifts and requesting time off. that was until the app randomly stopped registering my shifts. I now am unably to view my shifts in Deputy and request leave.

The layout is great and easy to use. Although the app continually freezes and I have to constantly delete and redownload in order to use it.

If you’re thinking about purchasing deputy for your company to keep track of things like a schedule, pto, or timesheets to export to payroll- save yourself the headache. You talk to three tiers of AI before ever getting an actual human with customer support. When you do get a human for tech support, their solution is always to submit a feature request, never an actual fix. I’ve used humanity in other hr roles and it’s so much better.

I love the app just need a way to DM co-workers through the app instead of having to grab contact info

Great app! What would make it even greater is if there was a widget I could add to my Home Screen for one tap clock in and out(and schedule preview?)

I’ve used this app for years and now all of a sudden I can’t see or access the hours I have accrued for paid time off. Would be great to be able to see my PTO balance. Thanks.

Notifications should only be sent when unscheduled shifts have been approved and when you have an upcoming shift. I keep getting notifications about available shift when I can easily check that by opening the app and clicking on the available shifts. I have turned off the notifications for this reason and have missed SEVERAL approved shifts because I expected to be notified for this then remember that I turned off the notifications because of the excessive amount of notifications. Please fix this. I turned on my notifications and woke up to literally HUNDREDS of notifications

I don’t mind Deputy for the most part, but I haven’t been able to view my timesheet in MONTHS because the page won’t load. (And I’ve deleted, reinstalled, and updated it already.) Can you please fix this, for the love of god. Because I hate not being able to verify my times every day. And it’s too difficult to get my timesheet daily from a superior. All of my staff ALSO can’t load their timesheet pages. Which honestly, to me, makes the app almost useless.

this app is totally useless

At least weekly the app automatically clocks me out but what’s bizarre is I clock out each night myself but when I got back in the next day to look at my time sheet it shows the app clocked me out and each time this happens it’s clocking my out a HOUR LATER THAN WHEN I CLOCKED IN!! I’m constantly checking the app for updates but this has been a constant issue for me! My employer is having to fix my time almost weekly! This is ridiculous!!!! And there is no help for this

Not sure why but I’ve tried to download this app 100 times. Ve to urned off my vpn my internet security I’ve tried everything I know to do please help. My employer is using this app and I need it to work.

No matter what I do, it leaves my shift open until the next day and then I get a notice in the morning saying it was left open and automatically closed. You literally can’t complete your shift without sliding over the buttons, which have repeatedly changed color, style and format. Also, update notifications are not going out. But, I just updated it yesterday and it still didn’t register and left it open. Every time this happens I lose 1/2 hour off my shift. So frustrating!

This app can request time off on it as well as clock in and clock out on it, the app notifies you through email about your new schedule every week all and all great app

So this is the main app I view my schedule on, and the one widget option is only for managers. What about ordinary employees who just want there schedule for the day on their home screen? Please add 🙏💜 would make me happy.

Worst app. I wish my employer didn’t use this company. I can never swap a shift because it never loads!! Useless

Tried to get a shift for two weeks with no luck only thing this app is good for is sending notifications to your email and phone. WOULD NOT TRY!!!!

I don’t know if it was an update or what, but I can’t see my timesheets anymore. I can’t see the hours I’ve worked nor the days I’ve worked and that’s really a problem for me. I was linking so far until this.

I receive emails daily on available work. When I go to the app, there’s nothing. I click on update through the app, and still nothing. I’ve updated my phone. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing.

I’m employed by a company that uses this app for clocking in and out, and I couldn’t hate this app more. Cell service isn’t great in the area where my school is, I guess. It takes up to 5 minutes for the app to load. I can’t clock in early, for my shift, or from break, and I START working before 8 am hits, and students and staff aren’t allowed to have their phones out on campus. Not to worry, what Deputy DOES do quickly is notify your employer, within 3 minutes of your tardiness, which was caused by their app performance and rigidly narrow amount of time to clock in. Now, I have spent my 10 minute break and 30 minute unpaid lunch, trying to clear this up. I couldn’t recommend this app less. I would rather stamp a sign in sheet with the blood of my own freshly severed finger, that use this app, and can’t wait to be finished with it after Friday. Carrier pigeon would be more reliable.

App is not updating the information at all. The schedule is blank no matter how May times you refresh or update the app. The app is not matching the emails that you receive. I have been updating the app two weeks now, and no changes

Please stop removing features some find useful, only add.

Overall pretty good app! Fairly easy to navigate and does what it needs to. The one feature that I really really really wish it had was a way to track how much I’m going to be paid each pay period either on deputy or on ADP

The most recent update just broke deputy for me. I got signed out of my profile and every time I try to login, I get rerouted to the landing page. I am an app user on iOS. This is just frustrating and I have let my company know of this issue as well.

How much do people get paid per shift???????????? I ain’t heard no one talk about that, what’s up with the money is it worth the time?????

I use this system for my officers past couple of days. I’ve had nothing but glitches between the phone app in the computer version not sharing with each other. Great system if the bugs we’ll get it worked out.

Very user friendly!

The app overall is great. However, it’s need a notification frequency feature. A delivery service I I signed up for uses Deputy. Each time a shift become available, Deputy sends a notification — which is great until you receive 10 different push app notifications and emails within 5 minutes of each other. You can turn off the notifications via Apple app settings, but I would advise signing up with a email account specifically for the Deputy.

Easy to navigate , very straightforward

Pretty decent app, it would be nice if it didn’t take 2 full minutes to load though. Besides it being a coin flip as to whether or not you can actually use it, pretty good scheduling app.

Deputy is a very good time keeping App and also user friendly. I recommend to all organizations.

Great so far but would be amazing to include a feature/option to attach a map or locations for different stores within whatever company is using deputy. Our company has about 80+ stores and can be messy when employees offer up their shifts without including an option to attach address and see it on a map. Would help tremendously in organizing employees picking up offered shifts.

If there are changes with the company you work for & they no longer use the Deputy App then the scheduling information obtained for your records are no longer available. If you did not make your own copies you will not have access to that data any longer.

We use deputy for Fetch Delivery and it’s a terrible app. I am constantly met with the error: “Could not accept the shift offer. Failed to claim this open shift. The shift may no longer be available or you may have one which overlaps. Refresh to get the latest open shifts.”

this app use to work very well for me i could keep track of all my hours at work now i can’t even get the application to load just has me stuck on loading screen

The company I work with uses this app And here I am able to clock in and clock out. Your location is almost accurate. I’m happy with it. We can communicate with our co workers and managers

The load screen just stays on and the schedule doesn’t open.

Keeps great records, easy to use and navigate, would definitely recommend
